The Real World: Rogal Dorn & The Mikado Cast

Episode 1: "Getting to Know You"
Rogal Dorn moves into the extravagant Japanese-style apartment, complete with paper screens and ornate decorations. He quickly encounters Nanki-Poo, who is deeply in love with Yum-Yum and prone to breaking into song at the most inconvenient times. Dorn tries to establish order by assigning chore rotations, which confuses Ko-Ko, the Lord High Executioner, who is more focused on not executing anyone.

Episode 2: "A Clash of Wills"
Dorn grows frustrated as he tries to set up defenses in the apartment—reinforced doors, warded windows—only for Pooh-Bah, the snobbish nobleman, to remind him that they are in the peaceful town of Titipu. Ko-Ko keeps urging Dorn to “loosen up” and take a night off at a local karaoke bar. Dorn is baffled by their lack of tactical discipline but is oddly fascinated by Yum-Yum’s serene nature.

Episode 3: "Romantic Entanglements"
Yum-Yum, torn between her obligations and her secret affections, tries to get closer to Nanki-Poo. Dorn’s well-intentioned lectures on responsibility inadvertently lead her to question the rigidity of social norms. Meanwhile, Katisha, furious with Nanki-Poo’s interest in Yum-Yum, bonds with Dorn over their shared commitment to duty, leading to an awkward, flirtatious exchange that leaves him conflicted.

Episode 4: "Cultural Exchange"
Ko-Ko, tired of Dorn’s military drills, insists on teaching Dorn about the cultural beauty of Titipu through song and performance. Dorn, begrudgingly participating, finds himself impressed by the harmony and balance in their traditions, though he still insists on fortifying the apartment "just in case." Yum-Yum, seeing Dorn’s softer side, invites him to join in their dance rehearsals, which leaves him oddly moved.

Episode 5: "The Katisha Dilemma"
Katisha pursues Dorn with a single-minded intensity, convinced they are both too serious for their own good and destined for each other. Dorn, in true stoic fashion, resists but finds himself frequently drawn to her passion. Meanwhile, Nanki-Poo, stressed about the romantic tension and impending return of the Mikado, finds solace in Dorn’s no-nonsense advice on perseverance.

Episode 6: "The Mikado Arrives"
Chaos descends as the Mikado himself visits Titipu and demands explanations. Dorn attempts to negotiate with him, baffled by the Mikado’s whimsical attitude towards justice. When the Mikado proposes a farcical solution to everyone’s problems, Dorn’s patience snaps, and he insists on a practical, straightforward approach, earning him everyone’s begrudging respect—and perhaps a hint of admiration from Katisha.

Episode 7: "Finale: Goodbye, Titipu"
As the roommates prepare to part ways, each reflects on how they’ve been changed. Yum-Yum leaves with a more assertive spirit, Nanki-Poo more certain in his commitments, and Katisha with fond memories of the stoic Dorn. Dorn, in turn, realizes he’s gained a unique understanding of friendship and harmony. He marches out of Titipu with a slightly lighter heart, leaving behind a well-fortified apartment—and a poem from Yum-Yum hidden under his pillow.
