The Bachelor: Dark Apostle of Desire
Title: The Bachelor: Dark Apostle of Desire
Premise: In this corrupted, Chaos-infused version of The Bachelor, Erebus, the infamous Dark Apostle of the Word Bearers, assumes the role of the galaxy's most detestable bachelor. A master of manipulation, seduction through blasphemy, and dark, eldritch power, Erebus is on a twisted quest to find the "perfect" companion—someone who not only shares his devotion to Chaos but can aid him in spreading the taint of the Ruinous Powers across the stars.
Rather than seeking love or romance in any conventional sense, Erebus desires a partner who can serve as an acolyte, a vessel for dark rituals, and perhaps even a sacrifice to the gods. The women vying for his favor are drawn from the darkest corners of the galaxy: Chaos champions, corrupted psykers, and demonic entities—all looking to secure their place beside the most infamous traitor in the galaxy.
However, as each contestant schemes for power, survival, and glory in the eyes of the Dark Gods, they must also contend with Erebus' cunning manipulation. Nothing is ever what it seems, and even the most loyal follower may find herself cast aside—or worse, offered to the Chaos Gods as a pawn in Erebus’ grand schemes.
The Contestants:
-
Sorceress Seraphis of the Thousand Sons – A powerful psyker and sorceress, Seraphis seeks to use Erebus as a pawn in her own quest for knowledge and power. She believes that, with enough manipulation, she can usurp him and ascend to the rank of a daemon princess.
-
High Priestess Lillith of Slaanesh – A sensual and twisted devotee of Slaanesh, Lillith enters the competition to offer herself as the perfect partner for Erebus. She thrives on excess, pleasure, and pain, hoping to ensnare the Dark Apostle with her allure and decadent offerings.
-
Sister Decimia of the Repentia – A fallen Sister of Battle who has succumbed to Chaos, Decimia sees Erebus as the means to redeem herself in the eyes of the Dark Gods. Her desire for punishment and suffering drives her to extreme acts of devotion.
-
Witch Athenys of the Drukhari – A sadistic Drukhari sorceress, Athenys views Erebus as a curiosity—an intriguing plaything to torment and bend to her will. She plans to use him to secure new victims for her torture chambers.
-
Daemonette of Slaanesh (Namira) – A daemonette with a specific mission from Slaanesh: win Erebus’ favor, tempt him with boundless pleasures, and ensure that his future plans serve the Prince of Excess.
-
Champion Variel of the World Eaters – A bloodthirsty Khorne Berserker with an unexpected strategic mind, Variel believes that by proving herself the strongest, she can secure Erebus’ respect—and perhaps dominate him.
-
Cultist Seline of the Word Bearers – A devout follower of Erebus, Seline worships him as a living prophet of the Dark Gods. She believes her loyalty and fanaticism will earn her a place by his side as his most trusted acolyte.
-
Lady Vethys of the Chaos Knights – A noblewoman-turned-Chaos Knight, Vethys sees in Erebus a reflection of her own ambitions to conquer and corrupt. She seeks to use him to secure greater territory for her warband and forge an alliance of devastation.
-
Vesha of the Alpha Legion – A shadowy operative from the Alpha Legion, Vesha joins the competition with her own hidden agenda. She is less concerned with winning Erebus’ heart and more focused on discovering his secrets and undermining his plans.
-
Heraldess Zydra, Champion of Tzeentch – A twisted herald of Tzeentch, Zydra enters the competition with constantly shifting motives. She hopes to turn Erebus' manipulations against him, twisting his plans to further her own schemes in service of the Changer of Ways.
Episode Format:
In The Bachelor: Dark Apostle of Desire, each episode revolves around ritualistic "dates" and deadly trials, as Erebus tests the physical, mental, and spiritual worth of each contestant. Instead of traditional roses, Erebus grants marks of Chaos to those who impress him, allowing them to progress in his grand game.
The show is infused with the warp’s energies, making every episode a surreal, nightmarish experience where reality bends, and trust is a rare commodity. The contestants constantly navigate Erebus’ twisted games, each trying to outdo the other in acts of dark devotion, combat prowess, or sheer cunning.
Sample Episode:
Episode 4: "Rituals of Betrayal"
The episode begins with a twisted group date on a cursed world deep within the Eye of Terror. Erebus instructs the contestants to gather ingredients for a powerful Chaos ritual, sending them into a haunted city crawling with Daemons. The task seems straightforward, but Erebus has hidden traps and illusions throughout, designed to test their loyalty and willingness to embrace betrayal.
Sorceress Seraphis quickly takes the lead, using her psychic powers to summon warp entities to gather the ritual components for her. However, she secretly sabotages Sister Decimia, planting false warp-signals to lead her astray. Decimia, desperate for redemption through suffering, willingly walks into a trap, where she is ambushed by Bloodletters. Barely surviving, she drags herself back to the group, bleeding and broken, yet still driven by her fanatical devotion to Erebus.
Meanwhile, Lady Vethys manipulates Champion Variel, provoking him into an unnecessary slaughter of nearby cultists in the city, forcing him to lose focus on the task. Variel's bloodlust almost costs him the mission, but Erebus watches in quiet approval, seeing potential in her cold, strategic cruelty.
In the climax of the episode, Erebus calls the contestants back to the ritual site, but Daemonette Namira makes her move, attempting to seduce Erebus with promises of Slaanesh's eternal pleasures. Erebus, amused but not swayed, banishes Namira to the warp for her presumption, reducing her to a mere vapor of shrieking ecstasy as she vanishes.
The Elimination Process:
In the Chamber of Litanies, Erebus stands before a massive, towering altar covered in runes of Chaos. The contestants kneel before him, waiting to see who will receive his dark favor and who will face his wrath. Each contestant must pledge their loyalty in a twisted oath before the Dark Gods, their voices echoing across the chamber as the warp responds to their words.
Those who fail to please Erebus in that episode’s challenges are not simply eliminated—they are offered as sacrifices. Erebus delivers the final judgment in the form of a corrupted Chaos Mark, which either empowers the recipient or warps them into a mindless spawn of Chaos. These horrifying transformations add a grim layer to the proceedings, ensuring that each elimination is an unforgettable, nightmare-inducing spectacle.
Key Moments:
1. The Chaos Wager:
In Episode 5, Erebus proposes a deadly wager to the remaining contestants. They are paired off and must duel in a blood-soaked arena, but the true test lies not in combat. Erebus has secretly imbued one of each pair with a curse that can only be transferred through treachery. The twist? Whoever betrays their partner first is spared, while the other is consumed by the curse.
The contestants wrestle with their decisions, with High Priestess Lillith luring Witch Athenys into a false sense of security, only to stab her in the back at the last moment. Athenys' body is consumed by the curse, dissolving into a mass of screaming wraithbone, while Lillith watches in dark satisfaction.
2. The Daemonic Offering:
In Episode 6, Erebus tests the contestants’ willingness to embrace the dark powers fully. Each must offer a piece of their soul to one of the Chaos Gods in a ritual. Cultist Seline, already fanatically devoted, willingly sacrifices her humanity, becoming more daemon than mortal, a grotesque, loyal servant to Erebus. Meanwhile, Sorceress Seraphis manipulates the ritual to siphon power for herself, though Erebus notices her treachery and stores that knowledge for later.
3. The Warp Feast:
In Episode 7, the remaining contestants attend a grotesque feast where each dish is tainted by the warp and infused with dark energies. The food tests their physical limits as well as their mental fortitude. Champion Variel devours the cursed flesh of a daemon prince without hesitation, earning Erebus’ favor. However, Heraldess Zydra, in a bold move, manipulates the warp energies to twist the feast into a chaotic battlefield, attempting to impress Tzeentch. Erebus watches with a knowing smile, fully aware of her intentions.
The Final Episode:
As the series comes to a close, only Sorceress Seraphis, High Priestess Lillith, and Cultist Seline remain. Erebus brings them to the heart of a Chaos temple on the daemon world of Sicarus, where they must prove their ultimate devotion to Chaos. In the final trial, each contestant must sacrifice something precious to them in order to summon the direct attention of one of the Dark Gods.
**High Priestess L
illith** sacrifices her sanity, allowing her mind to be consumed by Slaanesh’s temptations, leaving her a hollow shell of her former self. Cultist Seline gives up her remaining humanity, fully embracing her transformation into a daemon, now a perfect servant of Erebus.
However, Sorceress Seraphis betrays the process, using the ritual to siphon power for herself, hoping to ascend to daemonhood and overthrow Erebus. But in the end, Erebus reveals that he anticipated this all along—her ascension was part of his plan. Instead of rising to power, Seraphis is bound into servitude, forever a puppet of Erebus' will.
In a dramatic twist, Erebus does not choose a single winner. Instead, Seline and Lillith are bound to him as eternal companions, their fates intertwined in the dark web of Chaos.
