Sesame Street: Brought to You by OCP
Episode Title: Sesame Street: Brought to You by OCP
Cold Open:
The camera pans across a darker, grittier version of Sesame Street. The iconic brownstone looks slightly dilapidated, and there’s an enormous OCP logo plastered over Hooper’s Store. A cheerful voiceover kicks in.
Voiceover: “Today’s episode of Sesame Street is brought to you by Omni Consumer Products: Making YOUR future better!”
Big Bird waves to the camera, flanked by two stiff-looking OCP executives in suits.
Big Bird: “Hi, everyone! Today, we’re going to learn about community, numbers, and corporate synergy!”
OCP Exec #1: “And product placement! Don’t forget to tell your grown-ups to buy the new OCP Robo-Snack Dispenser, now available wherever RoboCop-approved products are sold!”
Big Bird: “Uh… right. Let’s get started!”
Segment 1: The Letter of the Day – “O” for Omni
Cookie Monster sits at a table surrounded by cookies shaped like the letter "O." A friendly but vaguely ominous OCP-branded drone hovers nearby.
Cookie Monster: “O is for cookie! Om nom nom—”
Drone: (cutting him off) “Incorrect. O is for Omni Consumer Products. Please recite the corporate slogan.”
Cookie Monster: “Uh… O is for Omni… building a brighter tomorrow?”
Drone: “Close enough.”
Cookie Monster starts eating cookies again as the drone reluctantly flies away.
Segment 2: Count von Count and RoboCop Count Numbers
The Count is joined by RoboCop himself, who stiffly stands beside him as they count the number of crimes reported on Sesame Street that week.
The Count: “One! One purse snatching! Two! Two graffiti tags! Ah ah ah!”
RoboCop: “These infractions have been logged and the perpetrators neutralized.”
The Count: “Neutralized? What does that mean, my metal friend?”
RoboCop stares blankly.
RoboCop: “Classified.”
Segment 3: The Importance of Sharing with Bert and Ernie
Bert and Ernie are playing with a new OCP-branded toy when two executives enter and forcibly remove the toy from Bert’s hands.
Ernie: “Hey! We were sharing!”
OCP Exec #2: “Sharing is important, but market research shows exclusive ownership increases perceived value. This is why OCP is launching RoboToys, limited edition!”
Ernie and Bert exchange confused looks as the executives exit with the toy.
Bert: (muttering) “I miss when this street was sponsored by the letter K…”
Segment 4: ED-209 Visits Sesame Street
The final segment begins with Elmo, Big Bird, and Oscar the Grouch gathered in the courtyard, where an OCP representative unveils their newest “friend.”
OCP Exec #1: “Sesame Street residents, meet ED-209! A state-of-the-art robot designed to ensure peace and safety in your neighborhood.”
ED-209 stomps onto the set, its massive frame casting a shadow over the characters.
Elmo: “Wow! ED-209 big!”
Oscar: (grumbling) “Looks like a trash compactor with legs. Get off my street!”
OCP Exec #2: “Nonsense! ED-209 is here to teach valuable lessons about rules, obedience, and respecting authority.”
Big Bird: “How does ED-209 teach rules?”
The exec presses a button on a remote. ED-209’s booming voice echoes.
ED-209: “Please comply.”
Elmo: “Elmo likes to share! Is that comply?”
ED-209: “You have 20 seconds to comply.”
Elmo looks confused. The OCP exec hastily waves off the situation.
OCP Exec #1: “Let’s show ED-209 how we count to five!”
Big Bird: “Okay! One—”
Suddenly, ED-209 malfunctions. Sparks fly, and it begins firing wildly into the air. The Muppets scatter in panic.
Oscar: “I knew it! Junk with legs!”
Elmo: “Run! Elmo doesn’t want to comply anymore!”
The set devolves into chaos. ED-209 blasts a chunk off the Hooper’s Store sign, while RoboCop strides onto the scene.
RoboCop: “Directive: Neutralize malfunctioning asset.”
ED-209: “Hostile detected. You have 20 seconds to comply.”
RoboCop fires, taking down ED-209 in a hail of sparks and explosions. The courtyard is left smoking, with Muppets cautiously peeking out from behind overturned props.
Big Bird: (emerging from cover) “Well… I guess today we learned why safety is important!”
Oscar: “And why I hate visitors.”
RoboCop: (stoic) “Dead or alive, education continues.”
Closing Scene:
The camera pans across the damaged set. The OCP logo flickers ominously in the background as the cheerful music plays faintly over the destruction.
Voiceover: “Today’s episode of Sesame Street was brought to you by the letter O, the number 209, and Omni Consumer Products. Making YOUR future better!”
Fade to black.
