A Horror Comedy Script

FADE IN:

EXT. NORTH SHORE HIGH – MORNING

The school looks normal, but something is… off. The camera lingers too long on the parking lot. On the way students stare at something just out of frame. A bloodied cheerleading pom-pom drifts across the pavement.

INT. NORTH SHORE HIGH – HALLWAY – CONTINUOUS

Cady Heron (our protagonist, beautiful but vaguely predatory) walks in, new to school. Damian and Janis flank her, giving her the lowdown.

DAMIAN
Welcome to hell. No, literally. There’s a murderer on the loose.

JANIS
Could be anyone. Could be that guy. (points) Could be her. (points again) Could be you.

Cady gives them a sharp, knowing smile. It lingers a second too long. Janis shivers.

JANIS
Anyway, there’s one group you really have to watch out for—the Plastics.

Cue the iconic slow-motion entrance of Regina George, Gretchen Wieners, and Karen Smith. But this time, the shot is different—like a predator’s gaze locking onto prey. Regina glides through the hall, her perfect nails tapping ominously against her binder. Gretchen clutches her phone like it holds dark secrets. Karen looks… suspiciously happy, humming something vaguely unsettling.

JANIS
Regina is the queen bee. She runs the school. Gretchen’s her loyal henchman. And Karen… she’s got that "may or may not be a serial killer" vibe.

CADY
Wait, what?

DAMIAN
Oh yeah, someone’s been butchering students. Literally. And rumor has it, one of the Plastics is the killer.

Cut to Karen smiling dreamily at a locker. The camera tilts down. Blood drips from the bottom of her pink Louis Vuitton handbag.

INT. CAFETERIA – LATER

Cady sits with the Plastics. Regina eyes her like a lion assessing a new cub. Karen stirs her yogurt with a knife.

REGINA
So, Cady, where are you from?

CADY
Africa.

GRETCHEN
Ugh, that is so exotic.

KAREN (whispering)
I bet the blood runs warmer there.

Cady tilts her head. A flicker of something dark crosses her face.

REGINA
Anyway, welcome to our table. There are just a few rules.

KAREN
And if you break them, I’ll gut you like a fish.

Everyone laughs, except Cady, who meets Karen’s gaze. Something unspoken passes between them.

MONTAGE: BODIES START DROPPING

  1. A JOCK tries to open his locker—BAM! A spring-loaded blade impales him through the eye.

  2. A MATHLETE walks alone at night. A figure in pink heels emerges from the shadows. A scream. Silence.

  3. The BURN BOOK appears in the hallway—only now, some of the faces inside have X’s marked over them… and those students are gone.

INT. GIRLS' BATHROOM – NIGHT

Cady washes her hands. The mirror swings open behind her, revealing Karen, standing too close, too quiet.

KAREN
You’re different, Cady.

Cady doesn’t flinch.

CADY
So are you.

Karen grins. It’s too wide.

KAREN
Are you a hunter? Or prey?

Cady turns, slow and deliberate. The air shifts.

CADY
Let’s find out.

Karen lunges—Cady dodges. A blade slices through the air. Karen’s laugh echoes in the empty hall.

FINAL SHOWDOWN – PROM NIGHT

The gym is decorated in pink and gold. A banner reads: “A NIGHT TO DIE FOR.” And students are actually dying. Chaos erupts. Screams. Blood splattered across glittering decorations.

Karen, in a stunning, bloodstained dress, stalks through the chaos, knife in hand.

KAREN
Come out, come out, wherever you are…

Cady steps into view, slow, controlled, wearing a killer red dress and holding a weapon of her own—a gleaming machete.

CADY
I don’t think you know who you’re playing with.

KAREN (grinning)
Oh, but I do.

Karen lunges. Cady sidesteps, slashing downward. Karen’s dress rips, but she laughs. They clash in a brutal, balletic fight among the wreckage of the prom.

EXT. SCHOOL PARKING LOT – DAWN

The dust settles. The sun rises over the school. Police arrive to find the aftermath—a blood-drenched gym and a pile of bodies. But no sign of Karen… or Cady.

A single pink stiletto lies in the parking lot. A smear of blood leads away into the dark.

FADE TO BLACK.

POST-CREDITS SCENE

A foreign city. A bustling café. A beautiful girl in a red dress sips a coffee. A man slides into the seat across from her. Cady lifts her gaze. A slow smile spreads across her lips.

STRANGER
You look familiar.

CADY (smirking)
Do I?

Her nails tap against the table. Outside, the news blares: MYSTERIOUS MURDERS BAFFLE AUTHORITIES… The camera zooms in on Cady’s lips as she takes a slow sip of her coffee.

FADE OUT.

TITLE CARD: “MEAN GIRLS: SLAUGHTER HIGH – THE HUNT NEVER ENDS.”
